Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my dog or pet with me?
As of December 2021, Wander no longer allows dogs or other pets on the property. During our initial months of operation, we came to understand that welcoming animals—while something we love in spirit—made it too challenging to uphold the high standards, safety, and core values we strive to maintain across the resort.
That said, we do make accommodations for registered service animals, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This includes:
Seeing eye dogs and vested, registered service animals with valid documentation
These service animals are permitted on site with advance notice and pending approval by management. This process ensures that we can provide a comfortable and safe environment for all guests, including those who may have allergies or sensitivities.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to create a relaxing, welcoming, and worry-free environment for everyone at Wander.
Am I permitted to have visitors to my cabin during the day?
Daytime visitors up to a certain number are permitted. Upon arrival, daytime visitors must register at reception.
Are there TVs in the cabins?
No, there are not.
Is there a restaurant on site?
Yes! Our onsite restaurant, Gather, offers a full food and beverage experience curated especially for Wander guests. Nestled just steps from your cabin, Gather serves up seasonal, locally inspired menus in a relaxed yet refined setting. As a cabin guest, do I have access to the spa?
Our Nordic Spa is an experience that must be booked separately, unless you booked under a special promotion that includes spa access.

How close is your resort to Sandbanks Provincial Park?
We are a short 20 minute drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Please be aware that this beach must be booked in advance even for day use through Ontario Parks. We also have our own private beach on resort that cabin guests have full access to.
How do I use my gift card to pay for my spa pass when I book online?
To use your gift card to pay for a spa booking, simply mention it and include your gift card digits in the “Additional Notes” section when completing your booking. We ask for credit card information to hold the reservation, but we will use your gift card information to process your payment seven days prior to your booking.
Is there a minimum age to use the spa?
Guests must be 16 years or older to enjoy our spa facilities. Guests aged 16-17 will need to have a guardian sign the liability waiver as well.
Can I book a treatment or massage without booking a Thermal Escape pass?
A Thermal Escape pass is required to access the spa. When booking a treatment online, a Thermal Escape pass will automatically be added to your booking.
Is the spa open in the winter?
Yes! In fact, winter is when Nordic spas truly shine. The contrast between hot, cold, and rest makes the thermotherapy circuit even more invigorating in cooler weather. It’s a tradition rooted in colder Nordic climates, and it’s one of the reasons these experiences have become so beloved in Canada.
I’m not staying on resort or checking into the spa - can I still eat at Gather?
Yes, Gather is a standalone dining experience that can be enjoyed by anyone including those visiting the County and those that call the County home.
